Description
* We have received reports that container ship LAGARFOSS (IMO: 9641314) experienced an engine failure in a position approximately 35 nautical miles east of Alnwick, United Kingdom on 07 September 2025.
* The vessel was unable to manoeuvre under its own power and was later taken under tow by tug towards Immingham for inspection, and possibly, repairs.
* It is possible that General Average, Salvage and associated recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
