Description
* We have received reports that the container ship SC POTOMAC (IMO: 9236274) experienced an engine failure whilst in a position approximately 7 nautical miles off the eastern coast of Corsica, France, on 29 April 2025.
* The vessel was subsequently taken under tow by tug to Livorno, Italy, where the convoy arrived safely on 30 April 2025, for inspection and repair.
* It is possible that General Average / Salvage and associated Recovery issues may arise as a result of this casualty.
* We therefore recommend that you contact us urgently if you are concerned with any cargo on board this vessel so that we can immediately start taking steps to protect your interests.
